Drunken Blueberries with Green Apple Liqueur |
| Ingredients (8-10 servings) |
| 1 cup |
Ripe blueberries |
| • |
Green Apple Mangilli liqueur to cover |
| Preparation |
| • |
Wash and dry blueberries thoroughly and place in layers in a glass jar adding Green Apple Mangilli liqueur liqueur, pressing down gently to get rid of air bubbles and pack the berries as tightly as possible. |
| • |
Continue until jar is full and blueberries are completely covered by liqueur. |
| • |
Let rest in dark, cool place for at least a week before serving, allowing the berries to absorb flavor from the liqueur and release color and part of their flavor into the liquid. |

This is another grown up dessert. Though not very strong, the Green Apple liqueur by Distilleria Mangilli has 18% alcohol. |
| • |
Blueberries preserved this way will last for over a month. |
| • |
Serve alone, with a biscotto soaked in the same liqueur, with sorbet, or with rubarb pie. |
