Drunken Plums with Frutti di Bosco Liqueur |
| Ingredients (6-8 servings) |
| 1 cup |
Ripe plums, pitted and sliced |

Frutti di Bosco (Wild Berries) Mangilli liqueur to cover |
| Preparation |

Place sliced plums in layers in a glass jar adding Frutti di Bosco Mangilli liqueur and pressing down gently to get rid of air bubbles. |

Continue until jar is full and plums are completely covered by the liqueur. |

Let rest in refrigerator for at least one day before serving. |

It is plum season in our backyard, so for a couple of weeks this fruit will be featured quite extensively. |

This is a grown up dessert. Though not very strong, the grappa-based Frutti di Bosco by Distilleria Mangilli still packs a wallop at 27% alcohol. |

The longer the plums are left to rest, the more they get soaked in the creamy, slightly sweet liqueur. |

Plums preserved this way will last for over a month. |

Serve alone, with a biscotto soaked in the same liqueur, or with fruit pie. |
