Plums 'n Honey |
| Preparation: 10-15 minutes |
| Ingredients (8 serving) |
| 2 cups |
Ripe plums, pitted and sliced in half. |
| 1/2 cup |
Honey |

Cardamom seeds |
| Preparation |

Cut plums in half and discard pits. |

Press plums in layers into glass jar, adding honey to cover each layer without leaving air bubbles. |

Let rest in cool dark place for at least 24 hours before serving. |

The moisture from the plums dilutes the honey transforming it into a sweet sauce which can be used on top of pies or ice cream. At the same time, the sweetness of the honey mellows the pungency of the plums. The cardamom adds its own perfume. |
