Strawberry, Mango, Pear Fruit Salad with Balsamic Vinegar |
| Ingredients (Serves 8) |

Strawberries |
1 |
Mango |
1 |
Pear |
2 Tbs |
Cane sugar |

Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena (Balsamic Vinegar from Modena) |
1 Tsp. |
Honey (optional) |
| Preparation |

Wash strawberries thoroughly and cut in half or quarters if they are big. |

Peel and chop mango into bite size pieces. |

Wash and cut pear into bite size pieces. |
| • |
Put white cane sugar in a small bowl, make a little indentation in the middle and add a few drops of Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena (Balsamic Vinegar from Modena). |

Mix with teaspoon until it aquires a consistency similar to that of brown sugar. |

Mix with fruit salad using a wooden spoon until well mixed and fruit is coated in its own juice which the acidity of the balsamic vinegar has brought out. If you have a sweet tooth, you may add 1 Tsp. honey |

Cover and let rest for half hour in refrigerator before serving. |

Since it is now the season, and my small garden is producing delicious strawberries, this is one of my favorite snacks. We love leftovers, and this type of fruit salad lasts us about three to four days. Unless we have guests over, in which case there's usually none left. |
