Preparation Time: 2-3 minutes
Cooking Time: 12-15 minute

After a few more minutes turn heat off and move pan inside the oven.

Comments
This is a simple way to roast chestnuts at home using a simple stove top and oven.
Traditionally chestnuts were roasted on open fire, inside an old pan with holes at the bottom, moving chestnuts continuosly to avoid burning one side.
Wine and Beverage Pairing
Raosted chestnuts are excellent paired with a wide range of red wines, from frothy, low-alcohol Lambrusco from Emilia, to full bodied Primitivo di Manduria DOC and almost anything in between.
