Fig and Avocado Salad

Ingredients (Per Person)
1
Large ripe fig, cut into chunks
1/2
Avocado, cut into chunks
Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO)
Sea salt and pepper to taste (advisable to freshly grind)
Preparation
In a bowl toss fig and avocado sesoned with extra virgin olive oil, sea salt and pepper to taste.

Comments
You may add cherry tomatoes cut in half, and/or chunks of cut up grapefruit. Personally I believe the tomatoes overwhelm the delicate flavor of the fig and avocado.
The EVOO may be flavored. In this case I used peppermint flavored EVOO.
Balsamic vinegar, freshly squeezed lemon, lime, or Spike Original Magic may be added to taste.
Wine and Beverage Pairing
Excellent with a cold glass of white wine such as Ansonica or Vermentino from Tuscany
