Personally I am not a spirit or liquor drinker, though I enjoy from time to time a lower proof liqueur, such as limoncello, made with lemons or my favorite, nocino, made with green walnuts traditionally picked on St. John's night.
In any case, as for food I like to experiment combining distilled spirits such as grappa, adding herbs and fruits which tame it down and add nutrients and characteristics to it.
